• Installed accessories to trailers such as hitches, floor boards, belly boxes, and lighting fixtures.
• Performed routine maintenance on trailers including greasing, lubrication of parts, and testing of safety features.

• Produced hand-made parts and accurately welded different metals to connect frames, bodywork, and system components.

• Installed accessories and non-OEM components to meet vehicle operator needs.
• Maintained hydraulic lift systems by changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating components.
• Reviewed brakes and assessed whether pads needed replacement, discs should be turned or other service requirements

Assisted in some diagnosing and decision making for repairs for both trucks (more so with Volvo and and some work on freightliners) and trailers.

Diagnosed, Replaced and/Repaire and Reinstall:

• Drive shaft (main and intermediate)
• Steering components (diagnose and replaced faulty steering box, steering shaft, drag-link, pitman arm, tie rod etc.)
• AC system (Charge AC system, change faulty AC dryer, change faulty blower motor, AC Compressor and condenser)
• Air brake system (I have diagnose, repair and replace ABS Mod, air dryer, air governor, brake chambers and ABS etc).
• wheels seals
• shock absorbers,
• Truck hoods and side skirts
• windshield washer system
• electrical lighting and starting system (alternator change, battery change, starter change.)
• EGR
• Coolant system (replace broken coolant hoses, flush coolant system, change damaged coolant reservoir, change coolant/water pump, change faulty thermostat)
• After treatment system

Some additional skills:

• Remove transmission to be sent for repairs and reinstall upon its return.
• Organize parts, tools and equipments.
• Shunt trucks in and out of shop.
• Read electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
