- I was part of a newly developed team that planted native trees and shrubs all throughout the city to improve the ecology in parks and natural areas
- I conducted site assessments on previous planting sites to determine success/survival rates and hypothesized reasons for these findings as well as suggestions for the future
- I worked alongside a licensed technician using herbicides to aid in the removal of invasive species such as buckthorn and phragmites
- I worked to maintain the health of our planting sites by frequently visiting with water supplies, fertilizers, pruners and rodent guards.
