Summary

I've worked on a sod farm owned by my family where I operated a variety of different farm equipment. This was generally manual labour and taught me the value of hard work. Reffing hockey for 5 years led to many conversations with passionate coaches and parents. This taught me how to listen, diffuse tense situations, and to trust my gut when making decisions under pressure. Customer service and being conversational were key to my role as a Starbucks barista. Provincial Airways, an aerial crop spraying company, was fun, fast-paced, versatile and introduced me to the agribusiness world. Preparation, organization, teamwork and the ability to work long hours were integral to a successful summer in this business.
