  • Resource development, human resources, timetabling, scheduling, and coordinating the functions of the department through weekly planned meetings with the departments Associate Chair, and through meetings with the Dean and Associate Deans of the School of Information Communication and Engineering Technologies (SICET), and the Chairs of the other programs in SICET.
  • Maintain a smooth, quick flow of information from management to all staff and students.
  • Use NAIT administration software including: Moodle, PeopleSoft (PS) Student Admin, PS Financial, PS Human Resources and various other programs.
  • Actively searching for partnerships and donations within the photography and graphic communications industries.
  • Using the strategic planning processes to ensure that the programs remain the primary location for training in Canada.
  • This position supervised four (4) instructors in Photography and four (4) instructors including the associate Chair in the Graphic Communications program, plus four (4) support staff including one admin support on the main campus.
  • I also represented SICET for the Joint Worksite Health and Safety committee and member of the SICET OH&S committee.

  • Performed student and curriculum duties using People Soft Student Admin.
  • This position currently supervises eight staff and four programming areas (Computer Network Administrator, Network Security Support Analyst, Telecommunications, and Cisco) in the hp Centre on NAIT’s main campus.
  • I was the administrator of a Novell NetWare version 6, Microsoft 2000 network linking the labs over a Cisco VLAN network supporting the staff and over 500 students as well as a computer lab administrator.
  • The position also performs the duties of an instructor as listed below.
