Through work and education history, I developed knowledge of technical subjects including electricity/electronics, instrumentation and control, mechanics, drafting/blueprints and thermodynamics at a level sufficient to understand work methods, procedures, materials, and equipment. Through studies I am knowledgeable about electrical systems and electrical components specifically relating to an industrial setting.
Within courses at Georgian College, basic electricity and electrical machines and power distribution, instrumentation and controls, industrial applied mechanics, I have enhanced capabilities to understand electrical concepts and systems within power plant and industrial industries. In these courses I learned to install, repair and test electrical components. I understand installation requirements from blueprints and electrical codes including the installation of conduit, panel boards, switchboxes and other related electrical devices and testing requirements for electrical and electronic equipment.
As a Radiation Safety Technician, working with a variety of work groups including Electricians and Instrumentation and Control Technicians, I have an understanding of operating practices, Maintenance procedures and Conventional Safety Procedures. I take pride in completing projects on-time and within budget while complying with safety standards and applicable regulations that I have learned through the Bruce power Health and Safety Law course and Georgian college required legislation courses.
