I'm an enthusiastic and organized high school student. I'm great at connecting with people of all ages, from kids to seniors. I have strong leadership skills, love problem-solving, and enjoy public speaking! I'm also passionate about giving back to my community through volunteering at AEGIS Living, where I support residents and help create meaningful connections.
I competed at line four singles my sophomore and junior years and line three my senior year. I earned All-County honors twice. I am a captain and mentor teammates on mindset and mental health, lead practices, and serve as a bridge between players and coaches to address concerns.
I’ve played on Varsity since 9th grade, starting as a forward and now as a point guard. As captain I have mentored younger players, especially those experiencing self-doubt. I’ve worked to expand our program, building it from 16 players my freshman year to 35 girls trying out this year. Over the summer, I host a free summer camp for local girls.
I was a witness freshman year (only freshman starter), then lead witness in 10th. Junior and senior year, I have been lead attorney. I became captain senior year. I run try outs, organize meetings, work with the coaches to come up with a theme, deliberate with the judge, construct and plead our case, and teach new members the ropes of mock trial.
As the sole high school ambassador and honorary board member of The Sunbeam Foundation, I initiated and designed a program connecting high school students with UCSF pediatric cancer researchers. I coordinate doctor presentations to high schools and organize volunteer efforts, including bringing prom to patients at UCSF and field trips to the lab.
I am the Girl’s President for the high school members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I co-lead and organize weekly activities to build faith and community. These activities include retreats, volunteer opportunities like building gift baskets or serving the homeless, home visits, and a summer camp for underserved girls.
The past four years, my jobs have included teaching, playing, and facilitating games with residents. I also have helped organize parties and holiday sing-alongs. I serve drinks to the residents during social hours and have become a favorite Bingo host. Listening to stories and connecting with the residents is my favorite part of volunteering.
