Passionate and creative results-driven professional with a proven track record in diverse roles within operations management and community engagement. With a strong background as a Programs Coordinator, Culinary Professional, and Operations Manager, I have excelled in developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, streamlining kitchen operations for efficiency, and achieving operational and financial goals.
My dedication as a Local Food Advocate and experience as Executive Chef to the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island further underscore my commitment to culinary excellence and promoting local food. Additionally, my work as a School Chef, Manager, School Food Coordinator and Programs Coordinator reflect my passion for promoting and improving food access in local communities.
In the past, I have dedicated my time to volunteering with youth groups, young offenders, and various nonprofit organizations in the United Kingdom. My primary focus during these engagements was to impart essential knowledge on food budgeting and culinary skills. Notably, I committed three years to the PEI School Food Program, where I subsequently assumed the role of School Food Coordinator on a temporary six-month contract in 2020. My responsibilities included extensive consultation and the meticulous coordination of the program's successful launch in September of that year. Over the course of the past six years in Canada, I have continued my commitment to community service, collaborating with esteemed organizations such as the Charlottetown Food Council. Through these endeavours, I passionately advocated for critical causes, including the reduction of food waste, the establishment of sustainable food systems, and the promotion of community gardening. More recently, I extended my volunteerism to support the Northern Manitoba Food, Culture, and Community Collaborative. In this capacity, I actively contributed to their grant review process, thereby furthering the organization's impactful initiatives.
