Additional-info

I am a product of Kaiser. I started 20 years ago as a HIM clerk. I worked my way up through the HIM department and was part of Kaiser’s first group of “grow your own coders”. I went to SBCC and completed their coding certificate program. After which I obtained my CCA and started ER coding. I then advanced to outpatient and OBS records. I earned my CCS in 2010 and moved to Inpatient coding. In September 2024 I took a Lead Coder position. I work with coders individuality and in groups on specialized coding topics. I hold weekly coding huddles on hot topics/trends. I do coding reviews on coders and give feedback. I have been cross trained to code and currently help code Home health and SNF records.
