Scripps Nursing Support Employee of the Year 2025

I was nominated by my supervisors and my peers for this award due to my outstanding above and beyond patient care. I'm a musician outside of Scripps and I love ny job because I'm able to provide not only medical care but also emotional and spiritual care for patients. I work in the ICU which indicates that not only are patients fighting for another chance at life but their family members accompany alongside them in this challenging journey. I've been able to make not only connections but also provide that sprinkle of hope through music in those tough emotional moments. Sometimes I stay a little extra after clock hours just to sing to some of the patients because it fulfills my heart to be able to make them feel loved and supported.
