• Develops evidence-based recommendations for policy improvements to advance First Nations education, addressing critical concerns. Topics include provincial government adherence to Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, core funding for First Nations-mandated institutes, recruitment and retention of First Nations teachers, First Nations post-secondary programming, and education for former children and youth in care.
• Crafts influential documents like briefing notes, presentations. memos. meetings materials. press releases. and correspondence for political leadership of various government entities and partner organizations within strict timelines.
• Presents findings and recommendations to stakeholders, fostering collaboration and informed decision-making.
• Contributes to the coordination and execution of various events catering to 10-100 First Nations educational leaders, administrators,
  and community members.
• Leverages in-person meetings and written correspondence to foster partnerships and facilitate information exchange with organizational and government counterparts, effectively advancing shared objectives in support of First Nations post-secondary education.

• Acted as the main point of contact for FNESC's post-secondary resource line. Collaborated with First Nations educational coordinators and students to share knowledge, resolve issues, and offer guidance in managing Indigenous Service Canada's Post-Secondary Student Support Program & University/College Entrance Preparation Program via various channels including email correspondence or direct engagement.
• Effectively managed sensitive communication regarding addiction, funding decisions, and community and learner well-being. Demonstrated expertise in implementing best practices to enhance organizational reputation and cultivate a nurturing and proactive partnership.
• Advised applicants on program requirements, evaluated and adjudicated grant and scholarship applications for a variety of programs, including Indigenous Service Canada’s Post-Secondary Partnership Program and BC Scholarship Society’s Irving K. Barber Scholarship.
• Independently and collaboratively expedited application, revision, administration of funding, and reporting to funders for First Nations post-secondary educational programs.
• Utilized applications including Microsoft Suite, Dropbox, Docusign.
• Developed data-driven policy briefs that summarized research findings, highlighting implications for action and providing actionable recommendations to improve decision-making and resource allocation.

After returning from extended maternity leave and graduate studies in 2021, actively engaged as an on-call teacher to regain familiarity with pedagogical methods, curriculum, and socioeconomic factors in education. This experience was intended to support a transition into policy work.

Filled a temporary part-time three-month Grade 3 classroom position at Crosstown šxʷwəq̓ʷəθət Elementary School. Collaborated with a co-teacher to increase student engagement, knowledge accessibility, and eagerness for learning. Leveraged Microsoft Teams to increase parent engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic.
