Currently assigned as the Visiting Unit Sergeant, where I am responsible for the front perimeter security of Santa Rita Jail. I also supervise eleven (11) Deputy Sheriff's, and fifteen (15) non-sworn Sheriff's Technicians, who are responsible for contacting all individuals who enter the facility. I also handle any and all complaints from Private Attorneys, Public Defenders, Federal Attorneys and Federal Public Defenders.
I was the Sergeant in Charge of the Investigative Unit where I supervised four (4) detectives. I was responsible for reviewing all police reports and assigning the police reports to Detectives if the case warranted any further follow-up. I also reviewed any and all search warrants, arrest warrants and any operational plans where any enforcement action was to take place. I supervised any and Critical Incidents that occurred within the City of Dublin. I also handled any investigations that I assumed responsibilities over.
I was the Sergeant in Charge of the Classification Unit at the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility. I Supervised seven (7) Deputy Sheriff's and one (1) non-sworn Sheriff's Technician. Was responsible for the all of the intelligence for the facility which included monitoring all gang affiliates and high profile inmates and ensured all inmates were properly classified based on their crime sophistication and gang affiliation.
Was responsible for the investigation of all homicides and felony assaults that occurred within the jurisdiction of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction.
Responded to all major incidents and assisted patrol deputies when necessary. Investigated all arson cases.
Was responsible for the proper Classification of all newly booked inmates at the Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility.
Attended the 102nd Basic Law Enforcement Academy.
