- I am a registration Clerk IV at the Chilliwack and Abbotsford hospitals in the Emergency department; while being on-call for Fraser Canyon Hospital (Hope) and Mission Memorial emergency rooms. I work with BCEHS, Corrections Canada, RCMP/Police, mental health workers, indigenous liaison staff, physicians and other healthcare professionals alike to ensure patient information is accurate and the patient is comfortable. Utilizing my strong multitasking skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks, including bed booking, transfers and patient admissions, ensuring timely completion of each chart/interaction!

- During my 2 week practicum through UFV I was placed in the emergency department of the Hope hospital. I registered patients into the emergency room, while also booking them in for their physical therapy, wound care, IV therapy, x-ray and ultrasound appointments. I got experience in systems like Meditech and Meditech Expanse, websites like Siren which we use to communicate with BCEHS, and MedAccess which we use for patient medication records.

- I had many roles here, I was a cashier, online order, self-checkout, and customer service employee. I expanded my further experience with answering phones, counting money and a POS system.
