  • Providing information, advice and guidance to applicants requesting support while applying for programs including Jobs for Youth and Job Creation Program;
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with external service providers, stakeholders, employers and client groups to support program delivery.

  • Assessing applications based on policies, needs assessment & risk associated with the job position, and preparing recommendations to support or decline the applications to management if required.
  • Providing decisions to clients of application outcome including approvals and declines
  • Monitoring service provider agreements for accountability reporting requirements and compliance with providing feedback and support to meet outcomes as defined by the agreement
  • Responsible for the administration, planning and control of the Jobs for Youth program with an annual budget estimated at $325,000.00. Also coordinate the responsibilities for the implementation of projects and the hiring of 300 +
  • Monitoring activities and outcomes to ensure participants are meeting anticipated timeliness
  • Providing employers, organizations and client groups with information on suitable programs, and providing assistance with completing applications
  • Reviewing all project applications from employers to ensure they fit within the program guidelines.
  • Selecting applicants for funding while maintaining a budget allowance under my department. This entails working in a very fast-paced environment, meeting very tight deadlines.
  • Working with MLS’s and Ministers in a manner that respects their office while upholding Government Employment policies and procedures.
  • Preparing contracts and signing for all approved projects under the Jobs for Youth Program
  • Ensuring the efficient processing and maintenance of job requisitions by entering all applications into the EDA Database
  • Database management for the Employment Development Agency
  • Consulting and providing advice & conflict resolution support to the employer and the students by conducting site visits throughout the work placement.
  • Preparing and managing all relevant documents pertaining to the program, including contracts, reports, and all necessary paperwork for the student and the employer
  • Providing detailed reports for senior management, including budget reports and program reports
  • Preparing and managing contracts and receiving all relevant paperwork back and doing auditing on hours and payroll that has been submitted. Finalizing invoices for payment processing and closing off the files
  • Leading initiatives to provide outreach services to jobseekers and employers
  • Meeting with clients and providing advice and guidance in job search
  • Working with both Private and Non Profit organizations, and placement of clients with barriers to employment to potential employers
