I finished my studies at Canadore College in April 2024 and am looking forward to the opportunity to learn new skills and gain useful experience. I am a great planner and problem solver who adjusts easily to change, learns quickly, works in a competitive environment, and meets expectations. During my placement I had engaged in meaningful child guided play that builds trust and relationship between children and myself. During my placement period I did a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors that expanded my knowledge and learning experience. I cover four foundations of learning i.e. Belonging, Wellbeing, Expression and Engagement. I have developed strong professional relationships with my mentor Kayla Harriman during my time of placement. I communicate with her and other professionals, who visit occasionally, confidently and share my ideas with them. I always seek advice and ideas not only from my mentor but also from other educators in different classes.

Sunset Park Public school

This was a whole new wonderful experience for me as I did not work at the kindergarten class before. The kindergarten class was exciting but also stressful. The environment is highly organized and scheduled. Teachers who work with students who are more focused on kindergarten frames/academic learning. I provide several kid-friendly activities that support the learning objectives of the kindergarten curriculum. My mentor, Mam.Risk-Hewitt offered ideas to make it more kid-friendly while adhering to the lesson plan and their specifications. She also gave her approval and conveyed her delight with the outcome.

In my placement, I successfully worked at Lindsay WELD pre-classroom setting, which expanded

my learning experiences. I worked with children to establish a cohesive learning environment.

Now I can contribute positively to a collaborative educational environment that promotes

collaboration, and mutual support. My observation abilities will allow me to discover areas for

improvement and give appropriate assistance to help kids achieve their full potential.
