  • In the mining pit I assisted drillers in obtaining parts and supplies needed to drill. Deliver dust suppression water using water truck. Change drill bits and steels when required.
  • Take rock and ore samples from the cuttings of drill holes and deliver them to an essay lab.
  • Maneuver power cable from heavy electrical machinery (shovels, drills) inside the pit and assisting in equipment moves for the cable using a cable reeler loader, pickup trucks, and other tow equipment. Layout cable as illustrated by supervisors for best running strategy. Pick up spare cable when required and deliver damaged cable to electricians if needed for repair.
  • Assisted drill operators with equipment setup and maintenance tasks.
  • Delineate/Cone any exposed cable that may come into contact with pit equipment. Clean up drills of garbage, waste and debris to keep all work areas clean.
