I moved to Singapore at age seven to study abroad with my brother, spending ten formative years there without my parents. That experience shaped who I am today — it taught me independence, resilience, and the ability to solve problems and adapt under difficult circumstances from a young age. I later moved to Canada to attend the University of Toronto, where I'm pursuing a deeper understanding of the business and finance world through a Finance & Economics specialist program.
I'm particularly drawn to the intersection of finance and artificial intelligence, which is what draws me to work involving research and due diligence on AI startups. I believe AI represents one of the defining trends of our time, with the potential to elevate human capability across every industry. In my own life, I focus on using AI tools like Claude to automate routine tasks, streamline my workflow, and free up time to focus on higher-value work — a habit that keeps me thinking practically about how AI creates real efficiency, not just hype.
Outside of academics, I maintain a disciplined workout and running routine, which reflects the same consistency and discipline I bring to my professional pursuits. I'm also an active investor in both the U.S. and Chinese equity markets, where I focus on building the analytical and valuation skills needed to identify undervalued companies and generate long-term returns — a passion that continues to sharpen my financial acumen and investment judgment.
