Duties included:

Duties included:
-To nurse critically ill preterm and growing preterm closely for signs for respiratory distress, loss in weight or NEC.
-Refer abnormal findings to a doctor and manage care plans.
-Nurse and educate patients in Kangaroo ward (ward for preterm babies to room in with their mother/caregiver before discharge).
-Able to assist doctors in reviving critically ill neonates by performing CPR, assisting in surfactant administration, emergency drugs preparation, and administration.
-Nurse a patient’s on ventilator, Air-Vo, CPAP, tracheostomy and wall oxygen and am able to identify patient deterioration and troubleshoot problems using DOPE, assess patients’ hemodynamic status on the ventilator and able to refer accordingly refer timely to the doctor.
