• Respect for resident’s rights and responsibilities

• Emotional support and bedside encouragement of patients.

Handling conflicts that may arise between residents calmly and professionally.

• Observe and report changes in resident’s condition to the Registered Practical Nurse.

• Assisted patients with walking, getting out of bed, patient ambulation.

• Aided in dressing changes or basic first aid under the supervision of the registered Nurse.

• Complete and maintenance of patient records and progress notes, as per hospital policy

• Assisted 15+ elderly patients with activities of daily living (ADL): This includes feeding, lifts and transfers, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, bed making and toileting.

• Performed tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse or Registered practical Nurse in compliance with the Regulated health professionals Act (RHPA).

• Report to the Registered Practical Nurse/ Health & Wellness Manager any concerns regarding the resident’s safety.

• Provide care service according to directions on the established care plan.

• Ensured a clean, safe environment and the removal of obstructive hazards

• Assisting patients with shopping for groceries, picking up prescriptions, and other necessary errands. `

• Maintained infection control protocols, including proper sanitation, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
