Assist in assessing maternal and fetal well-being through vital signs, fetal monitoring, and patient observations.

.Observe and assist with labor and delivery procedures under RN supervision.

.Provide postpartum care, including assessing fundal height, lochia and incision sites.

.Support patients in labor by providing comfort measures, emotional support, and assistance with positioning.

.Monitor and document maternal and neonatal status, reporting changes to the RN or healthcare system.

.Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge instruction.

. Support breastfeeding education and assist in newborn feeding techniques.

Mental health

.Assist in the assessment of patient's mental nd physical health status.

.Monitor and document patient behaviors, mood and response to treatment.

.Support patients with activities of daily living (ADL's) and ensure a safe environment.

.Assist in implementing individualized care plans under RN supervision.

.Observe and report changes in patient conditions to the RN or healthcare system.

.Provide emotional support and engage in therapeutic communication with patients.

.Follow de-escalation and crisis intervention protocol's as needed.

Medical/Surgical, Telemetry
