Math (Data Literacy Unit)

Language (Procedural Writing & Foundations of Language)

• Guided students in writing clear, sequential instructions for procedural writing tasks, using real-life examples like recipes and science procedures.
• Focused on grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary, helping students apply language skills across subjects.
• Organized peer review sessions, allowing students to edit and improve each other’s work.

Science (Human Body Systems)

• Taught key concepts of major body systems, using models and hands-on experiments to visualize functions.
• Connected lessons to health and wellness, encouraging students to relate body systems to daily life.
• Fostered inquiry by prompting students to observe, ask questions, and make connections across topics.

Assisted the Classroom Teacher: I worked closely with the Associate Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons (math-2D shapes), Read Aloud sessions, Art projects that aligned with the Ontario Kindergarten Curriculum (2016)

Led Activities and Lessons: I actively led and participated in activities like circle time, reading sessions, and outdoor play, supporting students as they developed foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

Fostered Social and Emotional Growth: By creating a warm and inclusive environment, I helped students develop social skills and encouraged positive behaviors, guiding them through the early stages of emotional regulation.

Supported Classroom Routines: I helped manage daily routines and maintained a structured, welcoming space where students could focus on learning and exploration.
