Work History

Summer Camp Counselor

Outpost Summer Camps
San Diego, CA
06.2018 - 08.2022

Originally as a volunteer for four years, I eventually shifted into a paid senior camp counselor for an additional summer! Primarily focused on staying outdoors and unplugged, counselors were tasked with keeping campers engaged with nature and their companions, while also staying safe.

  • Facilitated and participated in games, songs, and skits with children to keep them engaged outdoors.
  • Organized activities for the day, adhering to a schedule.
  • Assisted in training with new counselors on camp procedures and schedules.
  • Facilitated conflicts among campers, fostering positive environments.
  • Worked with children of varying ages (ranged from preschool age to children just starting middle school).
  • Engaged with fellow counselors and coordinators to prioritize and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintained and organized check-ins, check-outs, and accurate records of camper attendence, medical information, and incident reports as requiured.
  • Developed personal connections with multiple different campers, emphasizing empathy, patience, and excitement.

Arts Camp Counselor

UC Davis Youth Programs
Davis, CA
06.2025 - 08.2026

Based on the UCDavis campus, Youth Programs provides several different camps for children to choose from. Specifically, I was a camp counselor for the Arts department, focused in Drawing and Painting! The children I worked with ranged from ages 7 to 10, both girls and boys.

  • Designed different daily projects to engage and teach the children different techniques and projects for drawing and painting.
  • Worked closely with fellow counselors to communicate and plan days that the children would enjoy.
  • Followed schedule throughout the day, moving through multiple different locations with the children on time while keeping them engaged and safe.
  • Received a CPR Certification through this job for infants, children, and adults. I plan to reverify myself once the certification expires this year!
  • Promoted camper art growth through individualized and personalized attention and engagement.

BRIDGE Tutor

MME Bridge
Davis, CA
01.2026 - 03.2026

Working in a primarily Spanish speaking elementary school, I worked with bilingual children in the fourth grade. We focused mainly on math tutoring, but also facilitated reading as well.

  • Monitored student progress and adapted different strategies for different studies and their educational needs.
  • Provided homework assistance using specific curriculum and their own homework materials.
  • Collaborated with students themselves to complete their homework assignments, discussing issues and possible solutions.
  • Curated personal relationships with the children through both academic tutoring and play (after the homework was completed).

Unitrans Recruitment Retention Coordinator

ASUCD Unitrans
Davis, CA
05.2024 - Current

The UCDavis public bus transportation system primarily used by students, Unitrans has been around for decades. I work for the HR Team, specifically geared more towards employee satisfaction and recruitment.

  • Developed retention strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retainment.
  • Created, planned, and facilitated multiple events throughout the year for employees and staff (merch sales, Christmas parties, Snack Vans during finals, etc).
  • Worked closely with other HR members to plan and execute events for employees.
  • Fostered relationships with multiple different departments, from fellow office workers to shop bus drivers.
  • Fundraised, planned, and executed a large event for employees nicknamed "UniBall." Similar to a gala, the event had catered food, activities, prizes, and planned transportation for all employees who wished to attend. Calculated and budgeted for the venue, organized and decorated the event, and provided outreach and fundraising to make the event happen.
  • Communicated closely with outside parents and students through outreach events, primarily through school events and tabling.
