Phillip "TODD" Peters

I was officially hired on April 1, 2025, and was added to the Occasional Teacher Elementary List.

• During my time in any school that I work in because of my 24 years of experience in teaching I have the ability to develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by having and maintaining open lines of communication that establish a fostering and supportive learning environment.
• I will manage classrooms that I'm in effectively by establishing clear expectations, modeling appropriate conduct, consistently enforcing established rules and consequences, and recognizing and praising student work and behavior.

During my 24 year career in teaching, I have now taught Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. I have experience and familiarity with administering both Grade 3 and 6 E.Q.A.O. because I have taught both of those Grades.

• Encouraged students to think critically and develop problem-solving skills.
• Developed positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication, fostering a supportive learning environment for students.
• Managed classroom behavior effectively by establishing clear expectations and implementing consistent consequences when necessary, creating a positive learning environment for all students.
• Implemented curriculum, and data-driven instructional practices to target areas of weakness, resulting in increased student achievement across all subject areas.
• Collaborated with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans, enhancing student understanding of interconnected subjects.
