Work History

Fike Canada

Field Service Technician
03.2020 - 10.2025

Job overview

  • Perform customer onsite inspections, per schedule.
  • Advised customers on any issues, and also developed customer rapport, which then gave the customer more trust and confidence in Fike Equipment.
  • As needed, I would perform start-ups at new customer installs. This included reading schematics and drawings, verifying component placements (PD's, OD's, Containers), installing and programming modules, merging all field wiring, and verifying all field wiring has been installed, and terminated per Fike's specifications. I would also develop contacts with the mechanical and electrical installers, for future use, if needed.
  • In 2021, I volunteered to relocate to Edmonton, AB, to be the Western Canada Service Tech.

This enabled:

  • Decrease response time to customer sites
  • Reduce costs for travel
  • Utilize a Local inventory, to aid in emergency activation rebuilds, etc.
  • Give the Western customers more confidence in Fike's Service capabilities and response times.
