General supervisor for the completion of a special funding project within the department to upgrade Automatic Weather Stations throughout Atlantic Canada, via special funding provided by the Government of Canada.

- Supervise various employees in the construction and/or upgrade of various locations throughout Atlantic Canada.

- Produce statements of work and technical specifications to receive quotes and contract work from various general contractors, and suppliers.

- Contract with various suppliers for the production of specific equipment required to install and upgrade various equipment, including but not limited to jigs, stands, hardware, specialty mounts, and various other supplies for the installation of the equipment.

Arrange installation timelines and schedules to promote exact timelines, ensuring work is done on time and on budget, as required by the department.

- Work with various stakeholders, including, but not limited to, both public and private partners, to ensure the best location for weather stations across the region. Some of these partners include federal partners such as DND and Ag Canada, as well as private organizations such as JD Irving Ltd. and McCain Foods Ltd.

- Plan remote travel, including hotels, ferries, airlines, and other requirements.

Provide documentation as required for purchases and expenses, including both Acquisition card and Travel card expenses.

- Plan remote travel, including preparing sensors and test equipment either for shipment or accompanying travel. Prepare travel plans, including booking hotels, planning methods of travel, and making necessary bookings (such as air, ferry, etc.). Plan time estimated for work required, and book travel for multiple locations within one trip, such as maintenance travel to multiple sites.

Use of government credit cards for material purchases, as well as government travel cards for domestic and international travel.
