  • Set up and operate CNC Milling Machines as well as manual machines to manufacture plastic injection moulds; common manufactured mould components included: Cores,Cavities,Inserts,Slides,Lifters,Gibs,Core Pins
  • Indicating workpieces,using proper clamping techniques,loading cutting tools into CNC machines,picking up cutter tool heights,editing programs,checking for cutter runout and chaining programs for LOM(Lights Out Machining) are my main duties and responsibilities at the shop
  • In charge of assembling finished fabricated mould components(Putting together ejector boxes,measuring and cutting ejector and core pins to proper length,fitting and benching gate and vent inserts into core with various hand tools as well as testing and installing components for water and hydraulic circuits
  • Using computer software(Cimatron) for programming holder plates and doing editing on existing programs with the cut files provided
  • Supervise junior members; provide guidance on proper use of CNC,manual machines and final assembly of moulds
  • Utilized precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers,gauge blocks,dial bore and height gauges to ensure proper dimensions of the finished products
  • Disassemble and Assemble moulds that came in for repairs,engineering changes or for preventive maintenance by using swivel eyebolts,chains and forklifts in a safe and well organized manner
