Compassionate and dedicated Child & Family Specialist and Counselor with over five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through behavioral, emotional, academic and social challenges. Adapt in culturally responsive counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborative case management. Seeking to leverage my counseling and behavioral expertise to foster emotional growth, resilience, and academic success in a General Counselor or Youth Services role.
Beyond my professional role as a Child and Family Specialist, I actively engage in youth-centered academic programs and workshops that support college readiness, social-emotional development, and student success. These experiences allow me to stay connected to evolving best practices in counseling and to better support students in navigating their educational pathways.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to effectively communicate with and support diverse student populations, including first-generation college students and families from culturally diverse backgrounds.
In my personal time, I enjoy engaging in creative and reflective activities such as journaling and vision board development, which I also incorporate into my work with students to promote goal setting, self-awareness, and motivation. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly at the beach, as a way to practice mindfulness and maintain personal well-being—an approach I encourage students to explore as part of their self-care.
