Responsible for the proper care, cleaning, and decontamination of all surgical instrumentation, which includes specialized equipment (scopes, cameras, laparoscopic instruments, power equipment), while observing all departmental operating procedures, safety protocols, and technical standards.

Operate and troubleshoot washers, disinfectors, ultrasonic washers, and chemical high-level disinfection of instruments.

Maintain a clean and safe environment while observing all personal protective equipment standards, standard precautions, and infection control practices.

Provide support and training on equipment and safety practices to safeguard against injury, utilizing Censitrac Software for scanning and documenting our equipment for new employees and students who have had their clinical placements.
