Currently I run a type 2IA handcrew of twenty folks. I was a captain since 2020 and in 2023 took over my crew as a crew boss. My responsibility's as acrew crew boss range from hiring to initial attack.

I've ran type 5 incidents, initial attack, handline construction, fuels reduction, felling projects including heavy equipment, road prep, mop up and everything in between.

  • Coordinated with both federal and state agencies during incident response activities.
  • Inspected assigned area for new starts, smoke sightings or other signs of active fires.
  • Assisted in hazardous fuels reduction projects such as cutting brush, felling trees and chipping debris.
  • Responded quickly and effectively to emergency situations while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provided medical aid to injured personnel at the scene of a wildfire incident.
  • Conducted mop-up operations to extinguish remaining hot spots and reduce the risk of further spread.
  • Built containment lines around the perimeter of an active wildfire using shovels, Pulaskis and chainsaws.
