  • Technical Leadership Across Divisions: Direct enterprise IT and cybersecurity strategy while managing daily operations across diverse departments, including broadcast engineering and telecom. In total, my department provides technical support for six subsidiaries within the Gila River Telecommunications family of Tribal Owned companies.
  • Broadcast Operations Oversight: Lead technical operations for GRBC, which includes technical oversite for three ATSC 1.0 stations and one ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV) station serving both the Gila River Indian Community and the greater Phoenix broadcast market. Additionally, oversee live production workflows, playout systems, and content delivery infrastructure, ensuring reliable and compliant public media service.

Led a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining on-air reliability, infrastructure resiliency, and technical compliance in a fast-paced media environment.
  • Being a Senior Director in a Department Head role for five years, I successfully managed and directed a Technology/IT department with a combined annual capex budget and opex budget well exceeding $1 Million, six full-time employees and servicing approximately 200 employees in two countries.
  • Responsible for all strategic planning, budgeting and key decision making for all technology aspects of Bay City Television.
  • Promoted to Director of Technology in 2010, overseeing all technical departments including Information Technology and Broadcast Engineering.
  • Reported to the station’s General Manager (equivalent to CEO in most business sectors), helping to set IT strategic goals in support of the broader organization’s business needs and leading this function with minimal supervision.
  • Research, design, purchase, implement and maintain all IT systems and platforms, from financial systems and telecommunications systems to server based broadcast video systems.
  • Perform systematic audit of internal controls, access, security, backup continuity and system reliability. This includes preparation for future SOX (404) compliance and all related ITGC requirements.
  • Hands on system management of all Networking Infrastructure (including international MPLS link), Microsoft Active Directory sites, Exchange 2007 clusters, Dynamics GP, Citrix, VMware, Hyper-V and various other Windows/Linux systems.
  • Manage IT based broadcast video systems, including IPTV encoders/decoders, video play-out systems and non-linear edit systems.
  • Oversee all FCC licensing for microwave communication links related to broadcast operations.
