My name is Patti Currie, I am Treaty member of the Montana First Nation from the Maskwacis, in Central Alberta. I have an excellent base of formal education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Native Studies from the University of Alberta, and am an MBA candidate coupled with several years of professional experience with First Nations, Government, Industry and Academia.

I am a driven leader with strong a background in strategic management and community engagement . Skilled in developing and implementing effective business strategies, optimizing processes, and driving team performance. Known for adaptability, effective collaboration, and delivering measurable outcomes in dynamic environments. I am a leader and have a great ability to lead in management, development, and design., I am a natural planner, I use my experience and knowledge to execute plans and initiatives., Is an ongoing approach for me and adjusts to circumstances, however my experience with Boards and Chiefs, and Government officials gives me the aptitude to conduct myself appropriately., I believe in research and facts and managing information as well as understanding the importance of collaborating when necessary., I have a strong personality that enables me to build stable relationships with communities as well as business partners., With my experience and strong networking ability to collaborate as well as work independently I can find appropriate resolutions when necessary.

Personal Information

Hobbies: I am avid volunteer as a coach for youth and adults in our First Nations communities as well as off reserve communities. I am passionate about wellness and fitness, sports and being outdoors, I believe in building capacity regardless of the field that I am in and that knowledge is to be shared. I am outgoing by nature and easily relate to people professionally and personally in and out of our communities.
