Discipline was required for inspections, cleaning guns and proper dress and deportment.

- During the summer after I became a qualified infantry soldier, I was deployed on a tasking in Gagetown New Brunswick, as an opp 4 unit. I gained experience in living alone separate from family and becoming more comfortable with my position in my unit.
- Arrowhead Guardian (AG) – August, 15 - August, 25
- A regimental exercise including over 600 Canadian infantry soldiers deployed to Michigan, spent in the field practicing our trade in a simulated war scenario, where we then ran an attack on an urban opp village clearing the village successfully.
