• Perform daily vehicle inspections (tires, brakes, lights, fluids)
• Load and unload goods safely (sometimes using a pallet jack or liftgate)
• Secure cargo to prevent shifting during transport
• Follow assigned delivery routes and time schedules
• Deliver goods to customers (stores, warehouses, or homes) courteously
• Collect signatures or proof of delivery documents
• Communicate with dispatch about delivery status or any issues
• Follow local traffic laws and parking regulations
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours
• Maintain truck cleanliness and report any mechanical issues
• Assist with warehouse work when needed (sometimes)

• Monitor and patrol premises (on foot or by vehicle)
• Control access to buildings and authorized areas
• Check IDs and verify credentials of visitors and employees
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Observe and report suspicious activities or security breaches
• Write daily activity reports and incident reports
• Perform routine security checks (doors, windows, gates, equipment)
• Assist in emergencies (fire, medical, evacuation)
• Enforce company rules and regulations
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and answering questions
