I have over 20 years of Bookstore experience. I was a Dept. Manager at Barnes and Noble, Encino where I was in charge of the Children's Dept. where I successfully grew the weekly Storytime from 3-5 children to over 50 every week as well as leading tours for elementary school field trips. I ran the Children's Dept. at two different Crown Books locations as the Assistant Manager at both Sherman Oaks and Studio City. I was the Store Manager at Waldenbooks, Burbank and later became the Human Resources Manager at Borders Bookstore, Canoga Park. Most recently I was the Store Manager at The Open Book, Northridge where I developed relationships with the community by hosting Art Marts, Open Mic Nights, Book Clubs, hosting Book Launch events and held fundraisers for local schools.
