Dear Human Resources Team:
I read your advertisement for a Laboratory Supervisor, at the Thunder Bay plant, with great interest. The opportunity to progress and yet continue working within the lab, but in a more impactful role, is something that I would love to do. If you are seeking a responsible person to manage the workloads within the lab and provide technical support, then please consider my resume.
To refresh your memory, I have been with the company now for about 15 years. I have dealt with numerous challenges over the years. From handling working alone and figuring out how to properly manage my time to complete all the required daily testing of a two-person run by myself in an 8-hour shift. To every piece of equipment breaking down. I have excellent technical and analytical troubleshooting skill, and when I am unable to fix the issue myself, I know the right person to call. As you may be aware, I have spent time working throughout the plant in various departments gaining valuable skills and a greater understanding of the company. With this I have demonstrated my ability to work across departments and establish strong working relationships, not only in the Thunder Bay plant, but across all the plants in United Malt. These connections help me to better the lab.
My experience within the Thunder Bay Laboratory has made me both extremely self-directed and has also provided me with the opportunity to excel within this great team environment that we have created. I have strong written and verbal communication skills, which are seen daily by my reports to management here at Canada Malting Co. I am also very organized and have recently taken a lead role in the roll out and implementation of OPS DB at the Thunder Bay plant.
As a loyal team member of Canada Malting, I believe that my achievements and experience prove my ability to take on a greater responsibility. If given the opportunity, I’m confident in my ability to perform as the Laboratory Supervisor. Please consider my resume, I would love the opportunity to further my knowledge and continue to grow within the company. I believe together we can improve the efficiency, safety and quality within our already excellent laboratory. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Pam Napa
