  • Collaborating with residents, their clinical team as well as community supports, family members and JHS Senior Management team to develop Case Plans and Safety plans conducive to each clients need.
  • Ensuring clients basic needs are being met by providing a safe and secure living environment that meets or exceeds community living standards set forth by the Department of Social Development and Public Health
  • Helping clients connect with community supports such as day programs, mental health providers, medical professionals, support workers, volunteer services, employment agencies, educational supports, addiction services, victim services and spiritual and cultural connection along with any other pertinent supports as identified in their individualized case plans.
  • Attending important appointments and sharing ideas, suggestions and concerns regarding the care and support of our clients and advocating on their behalf when necessary.
  • Completed all of JHS Specialized Employment and Training Enrichment Program and updated training on a yearly basis to ensure skills are current and up to date with new information. This training includes the following certified programs : Prevention of Neglect and Abuse, Boundaries, Report Writing, MANDT, First Aid/CPR, Food Safety, Violence and Harassment Training. Additional Training completed includes: SafeTalk, Non violent Crisis Intervention/CPI, ASSIST, Family Case Conferencing, Women Centered Training, Violence and Partner Abuse, Healthy Relationships, Cultural Awareness Training, Mental Health First Aid, DISC Personality Program through Insights, Facilitation Training, JHS Supervisory Training and Enrichment Program for Managers.
  • In addition to the above training, I am now a facilitator of JHS mandatory training for all new and seasoned staff.
  • Supporting clients emotional needs by actively listening, engaging in conversations, encouraging them to reach their full potential by building upon their strengths and helping them reach their case plan goals. Modelling positive relationships and teaching coping skills.
  • Supervising, training and supporting employees through guidance, staff meetings, engagement/mentoring meetings, evaluations and being available for any additional support a needed.
  • Documented meeting notes and action items to ensure accountability among team members.
