Color Me Run for Cancer Survivors, West Hills College Lemoore
As a member of the college government body, I played an integral role in organizing and securing financial support for the Color Me Run for Cancer Survivors event. My responsibilities included coordinating logistics, fundraising efforts, and ensuring the event's success. This experience allowed me to build strong organizational and leadership skills while contributing to a cause that directly impacted cancer survivors in the community. As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia, I dedicated my service to teaching English to local youth and creating sustainable projects aimed at empowering future leaders. I worked closely with students to develop their language proficiency while also fostering essential leadership skills. My efforts were focused on creating lasting impacts, ensuring that the programs I implemented would continue to benefit the community long after my service ended. Through cultural exchange and collaboration with local partners, I aimed to make a meaningful contribution to the future of Armenia. During the 2023 Nagorno-Karabakh bombing, I provided vital humanitarian aid to the people of Armenia. I worked with local organizations to assist displaced individuals, coordinate resources, and provide emotional support to those affected by the crisis. My work during this challenging time involved offering direct aid to families in need, ensuring access to essential supplies, and helping those struggling to cope with the aftermath of the bombing. This experience strengthened my resilience and commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis.
