Barrie Double Passing Track Site (12.5miles long) Design Build

Duties:

• Read Site Plans/Shop Drawings and execute them in a sequential plan
• Conduct on site health and safety meetings and site inspections.
• Liaison with inspectors, Metrolinx representatives, City of Toronto, Ministry of Environment, consultants, and property owners
• Provide recommendations and design altercations to remedy design issues.
• Occasionally operate heavy equipment/ labour if short staffed

Key Achievements:

• Successful closed multiple zones within the project
• Effectively operate/grade with equipment (Excavator: CAT336,CAT345, CAT309; Dozer: JD750, CATD3, CATD5; Loader: CAT950G/H; Roller; Skid Steer; Telehandler).
• Survey and Grades with both Topcon GPS & Laser for over 5kms of track bed.

Effectively work, communicate, and interact with others on site in fast paced, demanding environments, as well as in office settings to complete tasks ahead of schedule.

Geotechnical Group

Duties:

• Pre-investigation measures such as client liaison, cost estimates/ proposals, submission of work plans, traffic plans, scheduling, & site reconnaissance.
• Conduct on site health and safety meetings.
• Supervise and conduct field investigations such as borehole/well drilling programs, structural assessments, environmental sampling, & instrumentation.
• Provide recommendations and designs neatly compiled in a detailed geotechnical report.
• Inspections such as caissons, sub-grade, and bridges.
• Occasionally set up and tear down road closures as per Ontario Book 7 as well as survey sites.

Key Achievements:

• Successful implementation of the Rutherford GO Grade Separation instrumentation and monitoring plan.
• Continually work/assist on various high level Metrolinx and Enbridge projects.
• Successfully completed multiple projects under budget.

Roofing for Reno's & New Construction

Duties:

• Strip old roof, Prep. roof with underlay, shingle roof.
• Re-Sheathing roofs and adding bracing here necessary.
• Re-Flash chimney (base-flashing, counter flashing, steps, etc.).
• Manage material and banking.
• Effectively communicate roofing steps with the client.

Key Achievements:

• One of the straightest layers for capping.
• Multiple callbacks for positive feedback.
• Handled jobs for VIP customers.

Duties:

• Operated a double pallet machine in a 1/2 million square foot warehouse with over 1000 workers present at a time.
• Prepared orders, printed shipping tags, wrapped skids via automated wrapping machine, and staged orders for shipping.
• Worked in both the produce and grocery departments handling dry and wet goods with weights exceeding 40 kg.

Duties:

• Worked in various Linamar factories inspecting automotive parts.
• Mainly stationed in Powercor for quality control, inspecting Ford's 6R80 input shafts for transmissions.
