Proven leadership and organisation skills demonstrated and transferable through experience as a qualified primary school teacher ensure project demands are met with precision and creativity.
I have 2+ years of teaching experience and I have completed various trainings and placements, including training for dealing with children with SEN (Special Educational Needs), and training for the aid and identification of children with ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences). I have also completed ROAR Mental Health training, HAYS Safeguarding training, and Making Sense of Autism training. My specialist subject through Liverpool Hope University was Physical Education, and during my placements I was assigned as P.E. co-ordinator for the schools, teaching the subject to every year group within them. I am a qualified youth coach of GAA and soccer, and this experience benefitted me when teaching my specialist subject. I was head of media and co-director of Our Lady's Primary School's production of 'The Greatest Show Kids', which was a huge success among the Armagh community. I also coached their Gaelic football team to their first ever Malachy McGeeney county championship - demonstrating my role in enabling others to improve and teaching children the importance of teamwork. I have a passion for helping others, and I take great pride in the role that I have played with the children that I have taught. Through my ever-adapting teaching style, I believe that I have the ability to help children reach their potential, or, more importantly, help them realise their own potential, on both an academic and personal standpoint.
