Olivia Riceman

I am a fourth-year Political Science major, minoring in Philosophy. Being in school while working full-time has not allowed for me to be active in clubs on campus however, it has built my ability to produce quality work under pressure and meet deadlines. I have taken on various jobs since graduating high school, which has allowed me opportunities to make connections with people in different fields. As a result, I have been fortunate to have experienced varying perspectives and opinions. Being a student at UVIC has given me insight into the beliefs and ideals of people who differ from me. As a young, black, female Conservative I feel I have a unique experience in understanding politics and have actively exercised my views despite the differences in ideology at my university. I hope to continue to learn and grow in the political field.
