Hi!

I’m Olivia and I am currently 15 years old and I will be turning 16 on May 5th. I would like to apply for a Lifeguard position at the Amberwood Golf and Country Club for this summer.

I swam competitively for 7 years with the Goulbourn Sea Hawks and Nepean Kanata Barracudas (NKB) and I am currently a Junior Coach with NKB. I have been teaching as part of the Junior Barracudas program with kids ranging from age 5 to 14 at all levels since last summer and during the school year. I love swimming and swimming has been a huge part of my life since I have been a child.

I currently go to Kanata Academy private school and will be completing grade 10 in June. I previously went to St. Stephen’s Elementary school from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and Sacred Heart High School infill grade 9. My favourite subjects in school are Biology and Law.

I have previously been a member at Amberwood for the swimming and have taken a few camps there during the summer. My friend Morgan Pickard was a lifeguard there last year and suggested that I apply as a lifeguard as well.

I am an excellent team player and I work well with others. I care a lot about people and I’ve been told that I’m nice and that I’m good at helping people. I am honest, trustworthy and I am a hard worker.

Last summer I completed the Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard certification as well as my Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion and CPR B and C.

When I am older I would like to be either a psychologist or a doctor.

I am flexible would be available to work weekdays or on the weekend.
