• Serves as the primary point of contact and communication between activities/departments for luxury treehouse guests throughout their stay.
• Managing luggage, facilitating orientations and ensuring a safe, comfortable and professional experience.
• This is an overnight, on call hospitality position.

• Responsible for managing high ropes tour groups, conducting and enforcing strict safety protocols and directing junior guides.
• Pace groups through, and educating on the Coastal Redwoods ecosystems.
• Conducting technical equipment and harness checks execute aerial rescues. Handling pre and post tour equipment organization.
• Engage with guests, encouraging a safe and comfortable environment both physically and mentally, as fear is a common experience on a zipline tour.

This position was primarily pre-opening, this facility did not open to the public until mid April of 2024.

• Assisted in miscellaneous projects such as painting, moving items 50+ lbs, stocking, cleaning and anything I was physically capable of.
• Learning and troubleshooting the hotel operation software. Learning emergency protocols.
• Being cross trained in all departments; housekeeping, breakfast attendant and in menial maintenance tasks.
• Processed reservations(compute and verify payments and methods) and requests/modifications from guests over the phone and in person, often under a high stress environment with technical difficulties while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Managing cross department communication for guest experience.

• Selling live bait and tackle to anglers. Convenience store.
• Conducting boat and equipment rentals to resort and public guests.
• Checking guests into the resort and assisting with inquiries, payment and navigation.
• Providing a professional, clean and ethical environment for all.

• Actively scan pool during various types of activities and rescue distressed guests if necessary(swim practice, swim meets, swim lessons, scuba diving practice, kayak rescue practice)
• Maintain a clean and orderly pool deck and storage, as well as daily cleaning of communal locker rooms.
• Check pool guests in, administering pool passes or punch cards and handling cash, filing different types of registrations and paperwork.
• Provide a warm, welcoming and safe environment and children and adults.

This was not a solitary position, I shared these responsibilities with around 10 other colleagues, responsible for around 150+ lifeguards.

• Supervised lifeguard staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Conducted in-service practices, ensuring all lifeguards stay diligent and proficient performing rescues.
• Managed the hourly rotation/breaks of lifeguards to ensure a revolving cycle of fresh eyes scanning the water.
• Collaborated with colleagues to enforce an orderly, clean and safe environment in and out of water.

• Actively scan pools and slide catch pools to monitor for and respond to distressed swimmers and prevent accidents.
• Perform shallow and deep water rescues when necessary, provide emergency medical aid if necessary.
• Safely dispatch guests down slides and assist with raft management.
• Enforce park rules, height rules and weight requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment on and off the pool decks.

• Maintaining park cleanliness in outdoor dining areas, restrooms and all common spaces. Sweeping away debris and hazards, restocking, emptying trash, collecting trays and utensils.
• Providing assistance to guests with directional inquiries or otherwise.
• Collecting lost and found.
