OLIVER SABIN

Have been working diligently since I was 14 years old, working in my fathers old frozen yogurt shop.

• Worked in many retail stores such as frozen yogurt stores and pharmacies like CVS, giving much experience in welcoming customers and such services (having been a cashier). I am also very adept at being efficiently social with customers, as well as counting money and collecting payments/handling customer complaints. These jobs have made me committed to ensuring each customer receives outstanding service by providing friendly and helpful support.
• Also worked in various beach summer camps, working all day every day of the week with younger children as well as in private surf lessons with older adults. This work has given me areas of expertise such as thoughtfulness in work, group work, ability to multitask, problem solving, cleanliness, remembering jobs and staying on task, staying active and socially adept, good communication, patience, and recalling of inventory and inventory locations or pricing.

Several academic awards in High School as well as college, such as Honor Roll and Deans List. Also have received acclamation by email for future potential jobs in accounting from my professor in the Accounting department at my college, California Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo.

Have also been given employee at the month at two of the jobs I have worked in the past, demonstrating my commitment and dedication to good work.

Junior Lifeguards

• In the Junior Lifeguard strenuous lifeguard training summer camp, I attended for around and over 15 Hours a week for a total of around 75 hours per year, for 8 years straight, It was every morning Monday through Friday from 8:30-11:30 for five weeks.
• I practiced observing weather and water conditions and even possibly alerting visitors to potential dangers, including storms and rip currents.
• I practiced and completed CPR training as well as teamwork and collaborative exercises.
• This game me great areas of expertise: commitment to work, dedication, high energy, interpersonal skills, great verbal communication, organization, responsbility, and virtue.

Swimming

• Swam nearly my entire life every day on both a school swim team and a club swim team.
• Allowed me a high level of commitment and dedication, ability to work well both individually and as a team, great communication skills, as well as great physical activity.

Surfing

• I enjoy surfing, and have been surfing for as long as I can remember; although I'm not professional there's nearly nothing I love more.
• Allowed me the ability to take calculate risks and analyze/seize opportunities, as well as allowed me to embrace challenges with high levels of confidence.

Working with people (especially kids) in camps or such

• I have always loved talking to and working with people, as in team bonding and teamwork etc. Specifically, I am extremely fond of working with kids, as I love when I teach a kid something new and make them smile. I also enjoy socializing with people of all ages.
• I worked many times as an instructor for summer camps and private surf lessons throughout my life and have met many people that changed my life, even one I wrote my college Personal Statement on. I will always love teaching and talking to others because of that experience.
• Allowed me the abilities of: excellent management and personal skills, creativity in finding solutions and problem solving, resourcefulness, carefulness and thoughtfulness, interpersonal skills, great communication with all ages, making sound decisions under pressure and thinking on my feet, as well as group work and collaboration.
