As a Quality Assurance Laboratory Analyst for Food and Chemical technology Laboratories, I performed the following responsibilities.
• Evaluated and tested new and existing products being introduced into the market based on their level of compliance with the Nigeria Industrial Standards requirements.
• Updated existing test methods and analytical procedures to ensure the best technological and safe methods are being adopted that are cost-effective and meet current regulatory compliance.
• Assisted Manufacturers and other relevant stakeholders by ensuring that all formulations issued are accurate and meet the Nigerian Industrial Standards.
• Coordinated with manufacturers and importers of manufactured products into the Nigerian market of the need to keep abreast of newly regulated raw materials and technology available to maintain the highest quality formulations and processes to meet the requirements of Nigerian Industrial Standards
• Updated knowledge and competency by attending relevant training available related to Quality assurance, Laboratory accreditation, and chemical analysis.
• Ensured laboratory equipment is properly maintained and constantly improved the standard of housekeeping of the laboratory.

I also functioned as a Lead Assessor to the Nigerian National Accreditation Service (NiNAS) on Laboratory Accreditation to the Requirements of ISO 17025:2017

Lead Auditor, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.

• Mentored undergraduate students, guiding career progression opportunities within the department.
• I assisted undergraduate students during laboratory practicals by responding to their questions and ensuring that students followed health and safety protocols during experiments.
• I also engaged with students during chemistry practicals to ensure that students understood the concepts, performed their experiments effectively, and troubleshoot issues. I also conduct small-group teaching activities.
• I participated in assessing student work, grading assignments, lab reports, and other assessments related to the practical sessions.
• I ensured students participated in all chemistry practical sessions and gave guides that could enable them to complete their work timely and fostered a collaborative environment.
