As an older sister of three younger siblings, I've learned to how to help each of my siblings with their various academic needs. I've leamed how every person learns differently, and more importantly, how to help someone overcome frustration and disappointment in learning. School is difficult and it's easy to fall behind. I've also helped many of their friends as well as family friends on subjects ranging from Algebra to English.

As a teaching assistant, I frequently helped students one on one as well as in small groups. I identified what their individual needs were and made sure to support them to the best of my ability. I monitored their progress and helped build their academic confidence.
