I am an experienced human rights lawyer with 28 years in international and African systems, including nearly 20 years in the United Nations, notably with the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. I served as the Deputy Registrar of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights. I worked on UN missions in post-genocide Rwanda and in Burundi. I have expertise in justice, judicial advisory, post-war peace, human resources and management.

  • Facilitating the transfer of suspects from the place of arrest, often in another country, to the United Nations detention centre
  • Organized the suspects initial appearance and in case of confirmation of the indictment, I ensure the continuation of the file until the delivery of the judgment. Given the complexity of the cases, some files continued for years, 5, 6 and even 10 years
  • Served as the focal point between the Judges and the parties ensuring that all court files were up to date both in form and substance
  • Contributed to the justice and the protection of victims and survivors of Rwandan genocide.
