As a nurse educator, I view teaching as a collaborative, transformative process that empowers learners to grow into compassionate, critical-thinking professionals. Grounded in adult learning principles and a learner-centered philosophy, I aim to utilize Knowles’ Theory of Andragogy and Mezirow’s Transformative Learning Theory. By combining these teaching approaches I provide a learning environment that values learner input, encourages self-direction and emphasizes critical reflection.
