• In the BUS 417 course, Equity Security Analysis, I explored capital markets and various common stock valuation methodologies. I employed a relative valuation approach to assess the attractiveness of stocks within sectors such as Global Tech, US Retail, and Social Media, analyzing metrics like P/E ratios and growth rates to identify undervalued stocks. Additionally, I applied the intrinsic value approach to calculate the intrinsic value of Cargojet Inc., a Canadian logistics company. I achieved a B+ in this course.
• In BUS 417, Equity Security Analysis, I learned to analyze company financial statements with a focus on accrual accounting principles, enhancing the accuracy of operational assessments. For instance, I examined Pinterest's financials and noted negative net income in 2022 and 2023. However, the cash flow statement indicated positive cash performance in operating activities, informing my decision on whether to buy or hold the stock.
• In BUS 413, Corporate Finance, I collaborated with two peers to analyze a merger and acquisition involving Jayud Global Logistics Ltd. We focused on achieving our common objectives by delivering a high-quality project on time, coordinating regular meetings based on team members' availability. This experience highlighted my flexibility and strong work ethic. I earned a B+ in this course.
