  • Safely operate and utilize two Kraft Recovery Boilers supplying steam to a 30MW Back Pressure turbine and a Double Extraction Condensing turbine at a combined rate of 910,000lbs/hr@ 600PSI. As well as two sets of evaporators and a Biomass Boiler producing 270,000lbs/hr @600PSI to the turbines.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the black liquor system, green liquor system, glycol system (for HVAC), condensate system, smelt cooling water systems, heat exchangers, and natural burners.
  • Perform weekly water treatment analysis of smelt cooling water and adding chemicals when necessary.
  • Take sample of process fluids to analyze and make necessary adjustments to optimize process and product.
  • Ensure the continuous scrubbing and burning of DNCG, NCG, LVHC gases to comply with environmental standards.
  • Experience with turnaround projects such as: Training and leading new and young workers, meeting deadlines, organizing projects and authorizing permits for contractors.
  • Experience drafting, verifying, performing lockout and tagouts, and filling out safe work permits as per company policy.
