Safely operate and utilize two Kraft Recovery Boilers supplying steam to a 30MW Back Pressure turbine and a Double Extraction Condensing turbine at a combined rate of 910,000lbs/hr@ 600PSI. As well as two sets of evaporators and a Biomass Boiler producing 270,000lbs/hr @600PSI to the turbines.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the black liquor system, green liquor system, glycol system (for HVAC), condensate system, smelt cooling water systems, heat exchangers, and natural burners.
Perform weekly water treatment analysis of smelt cooling water and adding chemicals when necessary.
Take sample of process fluids to analyze and make necessary adjustments to optimize process and product.
Ensure the continuous scrubbing and burning of DNCG, NCG, LVHC gases to comply with environmental standards.
Experience with turnaround projects such as: Training and leading new and young workers, meeting deadlines, organizing projects and authorizing permits for contractors.
Experience drafting, verifying, performing lockout and tagouts, and filling out safe work permits as per company policy.
