Co-founder of The Love Package, April 2020 - Present
The love package is an organization that I co-founded that has for the goal to help out people in need during the Covid-19 pandemic. Alongside with our team of volunteer's, projects that we have completed are:
● International student food drive: we were able to provide 120+ international students with groceries and basic household items as they were not financially supported by government initiatives
● Back to school drive: provided $3000 dollars' worth of school supplies to the lowest funded in Ottawa, The Arch Street Public School.
● Christmas drive for the Cornerstone Women's Shelter. We were able to raise money to buy over $2000 worth of stuff to fulfill their annual Christmas wish (needs) list.
Volunteer Relief – Children's Aid Society, September 2017 – Present
● My position involves providing relief to primary caregivers at a children's aid society model parent home. During this time, I get a first-hand glimpse at the experience of these children who are in the child welfare system. Through our interactions I can mentor and encourage some of through sharing my life experiences.
