My duties as a food service clerk at the San Diego zoo include preparing and selling food items,assist with daily preparation of food items as needed. Daily set-up and closure of assigned location,operate with food service equipment and machines safely as well as maintaining a safe and sanitary work area. Keeping all necessary food items and supplies stocked, practice safe food handling procedures. I follow cash handling protocol and procedures,operating a cash register while handling cash accurately. Communicate effectively with customers to plan large or specialized orders, providing customers with recommendations, samples and response to particular requests. Making customer service a top priority. When being a shift lead my behavior and actions represent the area managers. While handling all the duties mentioned before, I also make sure all breaks are given, that all employees are on task, manage paperwork and any inconvenience situation that can happen during the shift.
